Configuring 2025 E53 AMG -
Hello all,
I test drove the new BMW M5 and E53 AMG and for my liking , I liked the E53 for my tastes and is less money
. I have a GLE 43 coupe AMG and a Porsche sports car in GTS trim , so wanted to get a sedan to replace my previous bmw 535 Xi with a Hybrid I really liked the performance seat in the extended test drive , very sporty and you feel very cocooned in the car . Compared to my GLE and Sports car , the E53 ride is very good IMO
Few Questions :
1) In the Dealer order guide , there is standard MB tex with red stitching which I like but there is conflicting information about if you can get performance seats with MB tex and the sales guy's response to me was not clear either , lol
2) ) HUD and Apple Maps : I might just get the Exclusive Trim Instead of the Pinnacle trim since the HUD which I like does not seem to work with Apple Maps which I use all the time and never the MB navigation , is my assumption right ?
3) Getting the Dynamic plus package : I have an Alcantara wheel in the Porsche and held up well, any of you experience with the mercedes Microfiber and Nappa wheel that is st.d in this pkg. and how it holds up after some time ?
4) what is the fair amount of discount on msrp in the Northeast USA are people getting /seeing
Thank you for your time

Also, the MB navigation also works quite well and integrates nicely with Distronic Cruise. For example, while navigating with MB navigation on the highway, the cruise will automatically know that I am on a curve that’s a bit sharp for my speed and automatically slow the car for the curve and then go back to set speed after the curve finishes.

I have a 2019 E450 and never use the MB navigation, always Waze which is connected through Apple Car Play.. When adaptive cruise control is engaged, with the speed set at 78 on the interstate, approaching a turn the car slows down and after the turn, the speed climbs back to 78 mph.
Based on my experience over the past 6 years, the slowing down and then returning to the set speed has nothing to do with MB navigation, but rather it is inherent in the adaptive cruise control.
