There are several discussion on differences between the E-Class cars I thought it would be nice to share a couple of videos I found a while ago that shows Sindelfingen plant and the making of the S, E, SQS, and Maybach models all on the same line. It's quite impressive to watch and see the technology used to make these cars.
This video is more about the plant in general and focuses more on the S-Class which is produced along side the E-Class.
More specific to the E-Class in terms of focus on what is going on the same plant. Not as good a video from a narration stand point and has some strange AI voice over towards the end at several different times.

I believe the GLC, the E-Class and the S-class get assembled in Sindelfingen. Some E-classes are built in Asia (China/India) and some GLCs also get built in places like Hungary etc. The GLAs get built in a different German plant, while the GLBs are Mexican assembled.
Earlier, the German content of these cars (GLC, S-class and E-class) were in the 80+% range (until the W213 / S213 in the E-classes), but from 2024/2025 (W214/S214 in the E-classes) onwards, the German content has come down to the 25-35% range, even though the final assembly still happens in Germany. That "lost" content of roughly 50%, probably comes from Asia. In the S-class too, the German content has come down to around 35%.
They seem to be doing what's required to stay alive, with the self-inflicted several fold increase in German energy costs.
