The AT is exceptionally comfortable, I have done a 700 mile trips in it (1400 round trip), and a few 300 mile trips (600 round trip) and it’s exceptionally comfortable, squishy over bumps, gets great mileage, fits hockey bags or sails or my bike with the wheels off. It is a great car. It is not a fun car. Nothing about driving it says “omg” and that’s not really a bad thing - it is a great car. The E53 is “wow this thing is planted” and “holy crap that is fast” and somehow also “wow I didn’t use any gas today at all.” Yet it also fits a hockey bag, fits sails, or fits my bike with the wheels off. They are different cars with different target audiences, and they are both great in their own similar yet slightly different environments. For now at least I’m 100% content having both even if others find it a bit odd.

Edit in; as a bonus all my roof rack parts from the w213 fit on the w214
I don't find it odd.

I get what DeMuro is saying about the E53 being a great all-arounder, but he would go with the E450 and a sports car for two vehicles.

I would do something similar. The first garage spot would go to a BMW X5 in 6-cylinder AWD form, possibly plug-in hybrid for efficiency or the mild hybrid to get a spare tire for country trips. The X5 is a great luxury utility vehicle with some sport. It's a similar idea to the E450 AT. For the second bay, I would get is an E53. It's still an all-arounder that can take people, groceries, luggage etc., but it ups the sports aspect. The third garage spot would get a Mazda MX-5 Miata or a 718 Boxter. These provide more fun and less utility.

ordered the platypus front plate mount and should have it tinted next week and maybe wrap the front end

has anyone put xpell ultimate stealth on the infotainment screen?
XPEL has a satin (matte) interior protection film for screens.

It goes in today for xpel on the front end, ceramic tint, and the 2 screens

I’d bet the superscreen would be more appealing to me if it were in matte
