Just bought a 2025 E53 coming from a 2023 C43 where that car had auto start function for the factory dash cam enabled. I found that the new car has the option to loop record but it doesn't auto start like the previous car and there's no option I can find to enable that. Is this something new where they disabled with the newest cars? I tried the Routines App in the car to engage the dash cam when speeds over 5 Mph and so far no luck.
Go to the home screen, locate the Apps icon and press it. Then open the Dashcam app and hit the gear icon on the right of the bottom menu. There will be an option for automatic loop recording. Looks like this.
