Tire Rotation on 214
Greetings: I am having my first Service A on my 2024 E class 214. Dealership is telling me that my E class has staggered tires as tires in rear are larger than the front so they are never rotated. Thread still very good and they check for wear. Does this sound correct?

That is correct. There is a thread or two on this topic if you search. The only rotation you can do is side to side. If the tires are directional then the only way to swap sides is to unmount and remount the tires to maintain the rotation direction. If not directional, you can just rotate them left to right. This will not be hugely beneficial, but it may help with tread life.

No reason for a dealer to rotate the meat. And yes, staggered stay where they are except if going side to side as mentioned by L1Wolf.
Personally, I'd begin to develop a relationship with Discount Tire if you have one available to you. I'd never go anywhere else! Been using them
20 years and they know their stuff.
I'd say, don't let the dealer do anything that isn't prepaid or under warranty. They will take you to the cleaner at ANY chance they can.
