2024 E200 – Panoramic sunroof blind stuck open, no response from controls
I have a Mercedes E200, manufactured in October 2024, and I’m facing an issue with the panoramic sunroof. I noticed that the roof blind was open, so I used the remote to open the sunroof, then closed it — but the roof blind did not close with it.
A few minutes later, I tried to open the sunroof glass again, but it didn’t respond. I attempted using the roof button, the remote, and even the voice command, which replied “Opening,” but there was no actual movement or sound.
In the system settings, the roof blind option appears toggled off and cannot be turned on. I disconnected and reconnected the battery in the trunk and tried again, but still no response.
Currently, the sunroof glass is closed, the blind remains fully open, and neither of them is functioning. What should I try next?
Well, at least the roof is stuck closed and not stuck open. How long did you leave the battery disconnected? Maybe try at least 10 minutes. Otherwise, I would bring it to the dealer.
