Car Parking stopper

Need assistance regarding the installation of a rubber parking stopper for my E Class .
The stopper measures 9.5 cm, while the distance from the car part to the floor is only 8 cm. This means that the car part will need to fold every time I park and drive back from parking position.
Is it OK ?
Or Could someone please advise on the best way to proceed with this installation?

Thank you.

Buy a different stopper that is lower than 8cm. For example a piece of wood or composite (plastic) building material (decking).

This one is less than 8cm tall.

Another example of how much of a consumer based society we live in...

Here's a cheap, quick and easy parking stopper

One length of string that can support a couple of ounces of weight.
One tennis ball.

Drill a couple of holes in the tennis ball.
Run string through the ball.
Tie the end into a knot.
Secure the other end of the string to the garage ceiling, and lower the tennis ball until it barely touches your windshield. You can do this with the car in the garage, or by taking a few simple measurements.

Alternately, you can use your front or rear cameras to see how close you are to the garage wall.

I just put a faint pencil line on the garage wall lateral to B pillar and when I reach that point, I stop.

Amazing tech. Haven't hit the bike yet.

A) That won't stop a car.
B) Your solution won't work if the garage door is over the top of the windshield when it is open. I tried it and when the door was opened, it dragged against the tennis ball string and broke it.

It is a nice idea for those who don't have a camera and have issues parking their car in the garage.

A. I heard some cars come with this thing called "brakes". Not sure if it's true, though.
B.Fair enough, not everyone has a real full sized garage. More so, these new cookies cutter houses.

I suppose it takes all kinds of drivers, really

I followed your measuring instructions, but didn't realize the ball drop location over the windshield area would interfere with the opened door. I didn't drive in.

My 45 year old garage is quite large at 22' by 24' with a 4' raised space at the front for utilities.
There is 12' ceiling and a 18' by 10' door. When open it is over the car windshield.

. . . and all kind of uninformed critics.

To the OP: I would open my window and see if I hear any scrapping before I decided that I had a problem. You could get some large clippers and shorten the mud flap, or remove it.

I use overhead laser markers (
