E/W214: Apple Music + Dolby Atmos after update — anyone got it working?

Cool Apple Music + Dolby Atmos after update — anyone got it working?
  • Head unit firmware: E333.8-58
  • After update: the built-in Apple Music app disappeared
  • Current workaround: only way to play Apple Music is via CarPlay
  • Problem: CarPlay doesn’t seem to output Dolby Atmos
  • iOS: 26 (claims Atmos support), but I can’t get Atmos to engage
What I’ve tried
  • Toggled Atmos settings in Apple Music (Automatic/Always On)
  • Re-paired phone, restarted head unit
  • Tested multiple Atmos-labeled tracks and playlists
  • Checked audio output options in CarPlay
Question
Has anyone with E333.8-58 and iOS 26 managed to get Dolby Atmos working through CarPlay? If yes, what exact settings/steps did you use?
