Hit A Curb - Having Rim Fixed - How Much Torque?
About 2 hours later I'm thinking about it, and said, forget it, I need the car back for the weekend, let me just take it and bring it back next week. He said, dude they already took your wheel. I said, well the car hasn't moved in a few hours. He said yeah they left it outside on a jack stand. I had no choice but to say ok. Then about 10 minutes after we hung up, I get a notification that my car has been unlocked, and the passenger door open. Seems to me like they took it off after. But I could be wrong.
Finally, yesterday, he texts me and said they are shooting for today but probably Monday. I said sounds good. About 30 minutes after that I get a notification that my car alarm is going off and that my car has been hit in the left rear side (slight impact)! I said holy crap, what is going on! I know he left early, so I call the service department and they said, the car is intact, and all four wheels are on the car. That sometimes happen when they put the wheel back on they lower the jack and since your wheel was put back on the front right, the left rear gets the recoil when the car is lowered down quickly. Not anything to worry about, and they sent me pictures of my car lol and the replaced wheel!
Just sucks because the car is done, but my service advisor isn't in until Monday, so I can't pick it up until then. I guess they don't allow that. But take a look at the pics, the first one is the before, and the second one is right after they fixed it. Not perfect, but 99%! I'm happy! even the ripples in in the clear that the first shop did are gone!
