Removed E53 side skirt chrome trim to “grey” it out.

The rear piece of chrome must be removed first since it overlaps the front piece by about 1/4”. I used the same approach on the front chrome trim starting with the pointed end. With the trim removed it was fairly easy to apply the 3M Silver wrap. Reinstalling the trim is not very difficult.
BTW, the chrome trim has part numbers for both the W214 and W206 AMG side skirts.
Rear side skirt trim partially removed.
Rear trim removed.
Front trim partially removed.
Chrome trim wrapped in 3M Sterling Silver and reinstalled.
Close-up of seam between front and rear trim after wrap applied.
