Can someone please explain in simple words what's the difference between the Distance Assist DISTRONIC options as in the photo ?
When any why to choose Based Dynamic OR comfortable ?
Thank you.
I think - but just a guess - that this controls the style of acceleration and braking when the active cruise control is enabled….
This is precisely what it does. It can be more relaxed and gentle or it can be more aggressive and sporty. Or you can bind it to the drive mode selection and it will adjust accordingly to the driving mode you have chosen.
My daughter's 350e PHEV has the same and to me the predictive coast/sail/engine braking feature (not the feature you're specifically asking about) is amazing. It will coast when there are no cars in front of you and it will apply regen braking when there are cars in front of you and you need to slow down. This is done so well, it's the best I've seen in a vehicle. My Audi has a similar feature but it has to be turned on every time you get in the car and I'm not doing that.
