Battery discharged
Hi everyone,
has anyone experienced a similar problem? I drive an E53T, model year ’25, and every time I park the car the starter battery ends up discharged and shows a critical charge level. I’ve already checked things like accidentally leaving the lights on, etc., and everything seems to be in proper order.
I honestly don’t know what could be causing this. I already have an appointment scheduled, but it’s not until next week.

There was a software update for the E53 that resolved a similar issue for some. Search this forum to find it. You could also have a defective 12V battery which is not impossible, even for a new battery. Ultimately, I would bring it to a dealership. It should be under warranty and therefore cost you nothing but your own time to get resolved.

Good points/questions. Another is if the OP uses a digital key with their phone? That could cause this issue if they are constantly waking up the car as the phone moves about the house if the car is in range.

At the scheduled appointment, the technician can charge up the 12v battery. Then you can see if it can hold a charge. It is possible the battery is bad.
On the E53, the 12v battery does not start the car, the electric motor does. You still need the 12v battery for all the 12v electronics, so it is still very important. You want the 12v to be working.
If the battery checks out to be good, then revisit the other postings here for possible battery drain.
