why is there no 'understated' option for the 2026 E450? or am I literally missing something?

What do you mean be "understated" option? What are you looking for?

On some other models, there's an "understated" view mode for the instrument cluster that's purple colored and very simplistic.

To the OP, I'm missing it, as well, and do at times wish it were an option.

It was gone since MUBX 2.0 NTG 7 or 3.0 NTG 8, the W214 has MBUX 3.0 NTG 8.
