Question re E53 Dynamic Package
Does anyone know if the increased horsepower with the dynamic package is only available when using race start, or if italso kicks in under maximum acceleration i.e. highway passing?

Yeah, it's like what performance EVs do. They can temporarily extract more power from the battery for a few seconds, but it can't be sustained. It has to be quickly reduced to keep the motor and battery from overheating. So this extra power is either only available during launch control, or for a few seconds via a boost function. The other E Performance models such as the C63 E, GT 63 E etc. can deliver the power boost repeatably, but each time only for up to 10 seconds and only during WOT with the throttle pedal pressed all the way past the point of resistance like during a kick-down, so the power can't be modulated.
