I would imagine (read hope) that they are improving the auto high/low beam which is far too aggressive in my opinion. A street light half a mile away will trick the car into thinking there is another vehicle approaching. I guess there is a slight chance that they are enabling ILS+ but I would be quite surprised if that's what it is. Do you notice anything new in the dynamic light menu section? I assume the same update will eventually roll out to other owners here but I haven't seen it yet. I did just have my car in for service and they did a few software updates but didn't say what they were so it's possible I got the update already.

I suspect you are right relative to the “Dynamic” low beam feature.

Digital Light Projection

Received digital light upgrade download last night. Various cost options available from $5 per month to $35 per year and a one time fee also available. Need to have most recent MBUX update to use.

This finally found my car. I can't tell if there's any difference... yet. But from my previous post, my workshop contact said it's fairly minor to increase availability of dynamic main beams.

Mine just updated as well. With Daylight Savings Time it has not been dark to test it out on my usual evening drive home on winding mountain roads…but it was badly needed and I hope it’s more than a minor improvement. The adaptive lights on my S213 were excellent, and at least pre-update the S214 are extremely poor in comparison.

I agree. This is one reason why we just ordered a pre-mopf GLE with MULTIBEAM instead of waiting for the enhanced car with DIGITAL LIGHT. You can't beat MULTIBEAM. They were excellent on my 213 and 213 mopf.

Given your car is an EU spec I would presume that with the US cars it is not a full enablement of the ILS.

I had mine coded in by a vendor on this forum and have not received an update to note. Features seem to work quite well.

Question: do the US cars and EU cars have the same menu options under lights?

Correct. The first Mercedes model to offer this in the US will be the S Class facelift, followed by other 2027 models.

And as I speak about not having the update yet, it’s now available for me. I will try it and see if it affects the code in at all.

Just installed the update didn't notice any difference so far. That said I am in Canada so regulations might be in play.

I was watching the YouTube presentation of the new GLE / GLS this week and noted that they said “our latest digital light technology is now also approved in the US.” Do you think we’ll be getting any OTA software updates to unlock full ILS features as a result?

it’s not in any manufacturer vocabulary. These forums are full of people that feel like these things will be addressed and they never are.
