Has anyone installed / retrofitted a door light (puddle lamp) on the rear door since it does not light up originally?
These cables I found on ebay with no instructions on how to install it, I am not sure if that is the right cable and I am wondering if it would fit the animated door light.
Eh. I've considered it, but actually using the door controller a la S Class. This kit looks like it piggy backs off of the ambient lighting in the doors for power (white connector) and the naked pin is connected to the central locking module (ZV) so it can determine door open/close status and turn on the entry LED (black connector) by completing the circuit. Pin 5 or 6 on that module, depending on model.
