Hi there,
Old topic but I wonder if there is any documented performance gain out of these headers? Looks pretty much the same with stock manifolds except the material.

I'd have to look. But doubt it. It was my personal vehicle about 3 or 4 years ago.
Anyone that got them says they notice a difference. Of course they aren't as good as long tubes. But there isnt many options on this engine. For the price they are worth it on a Mercedes.
No a tune isn't required. I had the clk tuned before we did headers and didn't change the tune.

Yes I agree that shorty is an easy bolt-on, I've heard long tubes gives some headache with O2 sensors issues causing check-engine light on.
And I got the EC tune on my vehicle, so it's a good news re-tune is not required, I can spare some $ for headers installation. I am still hoping I can try DIY but need to find some details on how to do it.
