AMG Quad exhaust Info

A number of people are looking for quads as an upgrade, so I thought this may be helpful.

MB sells AMG exhaust in a total package, not just tips. Picture a wishbone, where the joined portion at the top = to a pre-muffler, which then divides into left and right pipes leading to a left/right muffler, then the quad tips.

The right side includes that center "head of the wishbone" pre-muffler, and the left side includes the connection behind that center pre-muffler (on back to the tips).

So total OEM pricing is around $1800 for all of it ($800 on the left, and $1000 on the right), for your reference.

Any MB sedan with stock dual exhaust will accept the quad exhaust, spacewise, but you can't just buy chrome quad tips. (except from rlee who has a used set for sale at the moment)

So is that what your price would be for a S55 exhaust with quad tips?

its 1800.

Because MB sells the full exhaust, you cant get just the left and right side, the right side also comes with extra junk that you need to pay for lol.

I have a japan site for 1400 but IDK how reliable they are.

That part number prices out at about $1250, but I'm not sure what it includes because I can't map it to a model. The 55 AMGs show up with only dual tips, whereas the 63 series shows quads with the details I mentioned in the first post.

Yea, I think thats it for the S55. $1250 looks good.

It includes exactly whats in those pics.

B66032002 =Mercedes W220 S-Class Dual Twin Exhaust =http://www.amgkit.com/EBMS/Catalog/ProductView1.asp?ProductId=4330

In KSC pics he had some box which also said B66032002 on it.

Ill speak to KSC to confirm what he got in the package.

Was it just this?

http://www.amgkit.com/EBMS/Catalog/P...ProductId=4330

and nothing more ?

Thx
hi Gondon,

i bought exactly what is in the pics that you sent - nothing more, nothing less.

if you can get it from RBrenton for cheaper than what i paid ($1600) then go for it.

i did shop around and $1600 is the cheapest retail price i could find, other than that Japanese website.

good luck, KSC
haha I was just thinking of you !!

Great , Its on the Classified, Engine and Performance Section.

RBRenton ran B66032002 (From the box in your picture) and got $1250.

But let me ask you, that box looks really small lol smaller than a plate? It cant be what the Exhaust was in ? lol

He ran up $1250 for it .
the box it came in was huge - just massive!

i just cut out the label. i say pick it up for $1250 before you can't.

KSC
Im gonna PM you RBrenton to find out the whole proccess etc.

For those Intrested in the Original S55 Exhaust Mod on the S500 by KSC, here is the thread :

Good work Gondon. Now we all can see the full picture. I also think this set will fit any other car that already has dual exhaust without any hassles.

Edit: Can you ask KSC if he paid for shipping? I'd love to know a ballpark because the question will come up sooner or later.

i'm not sure if it will for a couple of reasons:

1. with the exhaust came a booklet that states the exhaust (according to the part # above) is for W220/W215. it's written in german so i can't get too much from it, but the application part is obvious.

2. the mufflers are huge - too big to fit on other models. the install guy told me there's almost no wiggle room for adjustment.

i can't say for sure whether it will fit on other models or not, but my feeling is that it won't, due to the sheer size.

i paid $30 for shipping from CA.

Yes, I was thinking that other cars that have the same gigantic kettle mufflers as OEM should have enough space, I've seen pics of a stock E500 that looked similar enough.

Lol, no I can ship, but I'm not sure what the most economical method is. DHL seems like a winner based on some sample queries I made. UPS can pound sand.
Anybody got a DHL corporate account?
