Waynec1980 08-29-2011 04:13 PM

Is the world full of theives??

User LG1 has stolen from me.

He paid for the sprintbooster and I send it to the US from the UK. He paid via PayPal.
It took 4 working days to arrive at his door. Not bad at all I think. He opened a case against me saying it took too long to arrive.
Paypal went in my favour as they obviously thought his claim was rediculous.
A couple of weeks on and I get an email saying he has contacted the credit card company who have refunded him and now Paypal have charged ME!!
He did not contact me at all and he still has my Sprintbooster.

He is a thief so beware everyone.

Has anyone else had any dealings with this person??

Thanks all

So you might as well email him and see what he has to say about it , but looks like chargeback hustle through the web I dont know him or of him so hope he resends your payment .

jagata 09-02-2011 02:40 AM

Sorry to hear this, why do people have to steal; especially over so little?

Waynec1980 09-04-2011 02:15 PM

Does anyone know of a site where I can name and shame him? Post his address on there etc. Just a thought as there has to be a way I can get him back.

Its a good job I dont live anywhere near him.

Anyway, you live and learn.

Thanks for the replies guys.

My side of the story

Wow! OK here is what really happened; I purchased an AMG Sprint booster from this guy. We had no problem communicating until I sent the money. However, I paid $38 for expedited shipping and he was supposed to send me the tracking number. I contacted him after 2 days and asked for tracking info, since he never responded to my e-mail I called him (international call to UK) and left message but he didn’t respond to this as well. On the 4th day Pay pal informed me that he provided a bogus tracking number which I verified and it was in fact not a legitimate tracking number. After that I decided to purchase a new unit and filed a claim. A few days later he shipped the unit over night without any type of communication or correspondence. The solution to the problem would be simpler if he had given me a call or contacted AMEX, or Pay Pal However, he did neither one of those and therefore he lost the claim, and received a charge back. I am sorry that this relationship had to end up like this. I don’t see that I did anything wrong in this regard since I paid for a part and wanted to receive it in the timely manner as I did paid for it.
Thanks MBworld community for your understanding and if anyone has any questions regarding this matter you are welcome to contact me.

xpl0sive 09-06-2011 07:34 PM

so now you have two units?

I think so. The seller want his part back and the buyer didn't say anything about the part is being sent back.

jagata 09-08-2011 08:29 PM

Ship the sprint booster back after seller refunds you the expedited shipping and both parties call it a wash.

C_DirtyTwo 09-08-2011 11:03 PM

Then I'll buy the sprint booster...fits c32??

Rmayrap 09-12-2011 01:03 AM

dont be shady man, send the guy the sprint booster back. :nix:

Yea man , regardless you should man up and be a good person and atleast send him the funds for the sprintbooster I know your not gonna send it back .. Im guessing you returned the brand new one u bought since you got one for free . Also you purchased a part from Overseas . Dunno but I highly doubt $38 shipping fee will get overnight from across the pond . It cost more then that to ship something overnight within domestic USA . Again you can not pay him , keep the part and look like an ass but thats upto you . Its only $150 bucks and you did get your part as the deal made . If you expected overnight , thru customs and what not then your nuts and no reason goin on .

AMGSC 09-12-2011 03:43 PM

LG1, I hope you can live with the fact that you are a crook if you don't either return the unit or reverse the chargeback.

Remember . . . . . . Karma is a _ _ _ _ _

Do the right thing.

danlnyc 09-13-2011 05:55 PM

I'm not sure why you're all making LG1 out to be the thief when OP is the one who provided the bogus tracking number AND also failed to communicate with LG1 before posting this sh*t on the forums. LG1 clearly states that he has tried to communicate with OP before buying a new S/B. I would think I got scammed if there was no response.

Of course, returning the S/B back to OP would be the best thing you can do.

LG1 09-15-2011 09:43 PM

one more time

What the f- - - - are you guys talking about. First, you should have sent this poor guy (tapout 19) a PM not hi jacked his post especially since he has nothing to do with it. Considering none of you Ass H --- really have a clue to what you are talking about. I am not a thief and if anyone wants to find more info do not hesitate to call me and I will provide all the details (408 246 4906)
I only ask if everyone could please re frame from bothering others in the MB community, if you have any questions just give me a call and I will answer them for you.

Also, if the seller wanted his part back he could have contacted Pay Pal, AMEX, or me.
He has not contacted me not even once after the payment was sent to him. He lost his dispute because he blew everyone off, he didn't get his part stolen. However, he lost his customer and I would never refuse to send the part back if he even had make any attempt to make arrangement with me. I was notified by AMEX about the dispute and the decision was made in my favor, and my account was credited on 9/6/11. Therefore, until then I didn’t know what the decision was going to be.
Also, I wonder why the seller never commented on any of my posts. Maybe he is afraid to lose more customers because I can prove everything that I have stated now and in my previous postings.
However, if I don't hear back from the seller I will send the part back to AMEX on 9/14/2011 and post receipt on MBworld.org. I don’t need to keep the part since I already have bought one from somebody else. Also, if the seller doesn’t contact AMEX they will get rid of the part because they are not a storage facility.

Rmayrap 09-15-2011 11:32 PM

in that case how much u want for it lol

danlnyc 09-17-2011 12:33 PM

Whoa calm down man, like my last post I'm on your side. I believe the seller is the one at fault due to negligence on keeping the buyer updated at all times. You have also defended yourself on multiple posts which tell me you are legit and want to resolve this.

Don't listen to anybody else and js send the part back to seller, IF he ever decides to respond.

Waynec1980 10-01-2011 04:56 PM

Wow, this has gotten out of hand!!

Firstly you will probably see I havent logged on to this forum for a few weeks now as I work away often and cannot always get on the net.

Here is my side of the story and hopefully it has all been a misunderstanding and can be resolved.

There are numerous services in the UK via the net that collect parcels from your home, all automated and straightforward you may think, but not the case at all. It took me 3 or 4 attempts to get the paperwork, packing slips etc sorted online with a company called "Interparcel". I then resorted to going with a company called "collectmyparcel.com" which where much more "user friendly".

Now both these companies use various reference numbers etc and I can only think that I sent what I thought to be a DHL tracking number incorrectly. (not intended to be a bogus one) Collectmyparcel.com supplied me with their own tracking number later. I know for a fact that user LG1 received the item 4-5 working days after he paid which I think is pretty good going. Please bare in mind I have NEVER sent anything to the US before this.

I then got a dispute on PayPal saying he had not received the item (which I knew he had) and emailed him the following email on the 22nd of July.

I have consealed his identity in this Email

Hi ********

Can you tell me why you have put a paypal claim against me?
I have sent the item and the tracking says you have received it. What =
more can I do? 7 days (4 working days) to get from UK to USA isn't bad =
in my opinion.
I await your reply.

Thanks

Wayne

He never replied or called me and I know that for a fact. If he did call me, no message was left for me. I have an answerphone.

Like I said I hope this is a misunderstanding and I apologise for any wrong doing. I would be grateful if LG1 could send the item back to me, no hard feelings.

PS. I am not worried about potential future customers as I have never and will never again sell via a forum. I have 544 positive feedback on UK Ebay, so am a honest and genuine seller.

Thanks guys

Wayne
