Hey guys, so the primary cats on my e500 went bad, my CEL is on because of that, And my smog is due by Dec. I need a pair ASAP! Please can someone PM me, email me, call me, idc. I just need to fix this issue asap. Ionno if anyone has like some old stocks layin around that they can donate I just need something quick to get by smog. It doesnt even really bother me that the CEL is on. I got the car that way, so i just got used to it. But i need to fix the issue for smog, please help!!! Thanks.

thanks man didnt know i could do that. everyone i asks swears up and down that you can only use oem. but anyways someone PMed me and im buying the stocks off an e55. Seems like a pretty good deal if i dont say so myself.

 

Here is the deal. As you are in California, same as I am, those off Ebay will not pass visual inspection. Period! You must use OBDII California approved cats only to pass visual. They are stampled as such unless OEM.

Now, I do have Thunderbolt 200cel cats on my car and so far no CEL, however I also have 'smog shops' I can visit that only do a sniffer and cursory visual.

 

Gut your stockers, get a tune. You get added hp, and no CEL.
