Do you know anyone that has run these. Are there any problems with them. Do you have a part number for the 178 mm. Thanks

I sold 1 -164mm , 8-178mm & 4-182mm This year. . No Fluiddampr part number. I'm the sole retailer , I have the pulley's built at a different vendor & Put the sub assys together At my shop, They are checked for run out , Then Shipped. I had one returned for oil leak at the seal area . It was a installer issue and I showed it in the W-211 AMG thread.

These are heaver than The OEM HB. Because of the SFI certified Construction & The silicone fluid. but Control NVH ( Noise- Vibration - Harshness ) is Superior & much better than the Rubber dis-coupled OEM Type or the Light-weigh alum. Rubber dis-coupled assys are prone to deterioration & separation . And that is a known fact. I looked at a lot of designs , from Pinned Pulleys to welded on pulleys , to interchangeable , bolted on pulleys. Six counter sunk
8mm cap screws ( grade 12.9) to clamp the blower drive pulley to a large diameter 155 MM Hub centric , not the small 55 MM center hole for access to the hole down bolt. This controls the lateral movement , Thats 70 MM of surface area verse 490 mm . Thats 700% more contact.

Why Shoulder bolts instead of more cap screw, You need more surface area to control the radial movement between the 2 assembled pieces ( Pulley & HB )
Not only do you get more clamp area under the wide head , but the contact area inside of the 3 holes is smooth. NO cutting action from the sharp threads of the 6 cap screws. Why is there twisting , you 8 cylinders firing to twist the Crank , you got a heavy load from the Kompressor engaging & disengaging plus a much larger 8 poly vee kompressor drive pulley adding into the load the HB is getting. Plus there is 3 holes for the use of the OEM holding fixture. No Need to use a Flywheel clamp tool or special Build holding fixture . The Fluidampr also helps kept the Valve train under control, Like valve bouncing on the seat .That's why I'm a NVH type of Guy. Cheers _PTEngineering

Pat, what are those 3 holes in the pulley face? Do these install with the oem style crank pulley holder or do you need to lock the flywheel to install?

Sorry I miss this [/U][/B]

Sorry for the late reply ,Those 3 holes are for the MB Holding Fixture. Two People work the best using The Harmonic Balancer Holding Tool/ Fixture

When I'm doing the install by myself & Have extra time I use the Flywheel holding Fixture,

BTW I sold all the HB's . Just have the Wtr pump pulley left
