FS: OM617 Turbo Diesel Engine
For Sale:
Mercedes OM617 5-cylinder turbo diesel engine. On engine stand - you can hear it run.
Unknown history.
The following work has been done:
New fuel lines, hoses, and injector return lines.
All new fuel and oil filters.
New water pump.
New starter.
New turbo gaskets, new belts.
New pencil-type glow plugs. Glow plug sockets reamed.
New Bosch fuel primer pump.
New Block heater.
Valves recently adjusted to factory spec.
EGR blanked off.
New flex exhaust pipe.
Have a MB correct radiator which is included.
Includes some extra filters and fluids and misc Mercedes bits.
No PS pump, No A/C compressor or mounts.
This is the OM617.952 version, so it does NOT have the SLS pump on the front of the block.
Starts quickly. No smoke from exhaust. No leaks. A little blow-by, typical for these engines, but not too bad.
Local pickup only. I wouldn't know how to ship this thing.
I will sell the fairly new engine stand for $75 if you buy the engine.
