Mercedes EQC release date / reservations / deposits
Hi everyone,
I am really interested in a Mercedes EQC and was wondering if anybody has a reservation (even though reservations are currently only open in Norway), or has placed a deposit? If so, when do you expect yours to be released?
Thanks

I've been following the EQC for a long time. Until the factory is up and running in Tuscaloosa Alabama we probably won't see an EQC. 2020 is the projected date. They will build the EQC along with the other SUV's. They are starting production soon in Bremen Germany but I doubt they will export to the US. I hope I'm wrong but not holding my breath. Mercedes is going to break ground early next year for the battery factory down the road in Vance.

Here are some photos. Before i got there i was afraid i was not gonna like the grille, but the AMG version of it was really nice.
What i did not like about the design was that the interior of the sidedoors on the inside was higher than the window of the exterior. So when the windows were down it looked a bit awkard.
When the windows are up, there is a black inlay in the windows to hide it.

The EQC is absolutely gorgeous. I love how they did those front headlights. Everything about the EQC screams modern and futuristic. Thanks for sharing these photos!

For sure the EQC is a very nice electric vehicle, and I am a huge Mercedes fan. I have a 2019 AMG G63 on order, but that's strictly for going to Starbucks on Saturday mornings. For my daily driver, I am looking for a very nice electric. Loved my 2018 Chevy Volt, but sold it as I got bored with it in a few months. But, why would I want an Benz EQC over a Tesla Model-X, equipped with Ludicrous? Model-X does 0-60 in 2.9 secs, vs/ 4.9 in EQC. Model-X is supposed to upgrade from its current 100kW to a 120kW battery next year, and the beat goes on. Price is likely to be about the same for a Model-X and EQC. EQC screens are like the screens in the A-Class, except that's a $30k cheapie car.
Pls give me a reason to opt for the EQC, as I really love Mercs, and have driven them since 1998.

Yea as you said.. The eqc is half the price.. Tesla I actually like, but there is always questions about their future. The build quality on their cars is pretty poor (I know two people with model x and model 3).. They accept it because they are early adopters but let's see how the masses deal with it. There is also the network large companies like Mercedes have around the US and world when you need service or parts.

That said, gleaning from your post that a G63 is only good enough to get a paper cup of coffee, an EQC is probably beneath you. I'd wait for the EQS at least, or that electric Bentayga they're allgedly cooking up.

And you'll have a much better view than the Porsche will have looking at that Model X, unless of course it's the Turbo (for a few bucks more but likely less than your expensive coffee machine), in which case you'll have the better view from behind...

It's not my "cheapie tuna can" because I'm not buying either car. However, I think the Taycan Turbo will be faster and I have to assume the range on all batteries will be about equal once the technology is developed. All that said glad to see you are pumped about your future Model X that doesn't exist yet. Good luck with it and the new coffee getter!

Doesn't exist yet?! The Model-X has been out for years! Current 0-60 time is 2.9 secs, wich is oh, so much faster than slow as a slug porsche at a slowbee 3.5. And, Model-X with its new 120 battery this coming fall will do 0-60 in 2.4 secs. Buh bye, tuna can porsche!

Lol. This chick sitting at home alone on a holiday weekend trying to troll on a mbworld forum. Does anything get more sad? Really? She thinks I might be jealous of her impending purchase of a G63 to go to Starbucks in. So funny! I'll tell you what. Send a pick of your deposit on that G63 that I know you don't have and I'll show you my bank account balance that can buy and sell your G63 10 times over and we'll see whose jealous.
