Mercedes EQC news
Super excited for the release of this EV and there's quite a lot of talk about it lately. I wanted to start a thread on the latest news/rumors on the EQC for those who are interested in the new electric crossover as well. Some of the news may be speculation, feel free to correct if I am wrong.
Mercedes-Benz estimates that the EQC will have a range of around 280 miles
Total horsepower is 402
Total torque is 564 lb-ft
The EQC is expected to do 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds
The EQC will have 2 asynchronous motors (for both the front axle and rear axle)
Production will start in Bremen in 2019, and production in the US has not been confirmed yet
The pricing will start at around $87K in the UK, which may be priced only slightly lower in the US
Has a tow rating of 3070lbs and max payload of 1135lbs
No frunk (front trunk)

After several years of extreme and intensive testing, including over a million miles in four different continents, Mercedes-Benz is proud to introduce the newest member of its family. The battery-powered EQC completed extreme cold testing in Sweden, extreme heat testing in deserts, and underwent brand new tests to ensure a quiet, fun-to-drive, and a true Mercedes-Benz luxury experience. Expect this exciting new vehicle to be in your showrooms in the first half of 2020.
Highlights of the all-electric EQC include:
Completely new EQ design language, with a Black Panel grille combining the standard MULTIBEAM Intelligent Light System headlamps and grille into one piece, topped with an illuminated LED light band, and an illuminated Mercedes-Benz Star for a clear EQ family look.
Standard Dual motor 4MATIC® All-Wheel-Drive, for best possible traction and handling in all conditions
Powerful driving dynamics with over 400 horsepower, 564 lb-ft of Torque and a 0-60 time in under five seconds.
Standard 110kW DC Fast Charging, using the SAE Combo Charger, to quickly recharge the 80kWh battery for long-distance road trips.
Modern interior design with EQ-specific touches including rose-gold stitching and accents, invoking copper wires, Spacelux Grey Metallic MB-Tex Dashboard with Contrast Stitching, a futuristic new look of the air vents, and wrap-around 3D louvre-style trim.
Free-standing standard widescreen cockpit with 2x10.25” displays, MBUX Touchscreen Navigation, including electric vehicle-specific voice commands, such as “Hey Mercedes, I would like the vehicle to be ready to go tomorrow at 8am” – which will ensure a full charge and preconditioned cabin by the desired time.
Optional AMG Line brings AMG genes to the EQC with a twin-blade grille, jet-wing design lower bumper, and up to 21” aerodynamically optimized wheels
Available Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive technologies including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC with Steering Assist, Route-Based Speed Adjustment, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Lane and Blind Spot Assists, and PRE-SAFE® PLUS
