Everything is bad for the environment. Including eV's... Look at all of the resources and the size of the carbon footprint in order to produce a EV, Hybrid or even a full gas car. These articles are pointless and silly written by people trying to "Shift the blame"

The main advantage of EVs is that they keep pollution out of metro areas. Aside from that, depending on the assumptions one can show that they are either better or worse than ICE.

Right now, it looks like car manufacturers are unable to even source the batteries in large enough quantity and EV sales are barely 2% of total vehicle sales in the US. So many argue that there is better overall environmental impact buy going hybrid because that allows battery resources to be spread across more cars. With plug-in hybrids, many trips can be made with zero emissions, especially in urban areas where the emissions matter most.
