The wiper blades that came from MB skip / chatter...even dealership is having trouble replacing one set after another and still having the same issue. Mine is a RHD and I heard that Bosch blades do not chatter / skip. They are available from the US, but since US vehicles are LHD, my question is the blades are 'directional', meaning clockwise vs counter-clockwise wipe motion will diff when it comes to 'aero dynamics' of the blades design. Are the EQE SUV in the US (or other countries that are LHD) wipe in a counter-clockwise direction? (mine wipes counter-clockwise; and I think as long as the direction of the wipe is correct, I can swap the 'driver side blade' that is supposed to be mounted on the left side (from a LHD vehicle) to the right side (to a RHD vehicle). Will it work?

 

Have you tried a windshield treatment such as RainX that applies a bit of lubricity to the glass?

 

I have read just the opposite could be necessary to stop skipping: Clean the windshield with a serious window cleaner or perhaps glass polish to make sure there is absolutely no film or wax on it it.

 

Trying it is only slighter harder than navel-gazing.

I experienced the same issue and tried various solutions without success. Finally, I used 70% isopropyl alcohol and wiped it with a dry towel, which resolved the wiper shatter problem.

I experienced the same issue and tried various solutions without success. Finally, I used 70% isopropyl alcohol and wiped it with a dry towel, which resolved the wiper shatter problem.

 

So you used 70% isopropyl alcohol and it did the trick? I thought I tried something similar before but it didn't do it, I should try again.

 

It's been skipping / chattering since day 1. Of course dealer been BS-ing saying it is what it is...I chked a S550 and EQA, both skipped / chattered too. Dealership claimed that the rubber contents changed (due to environmental reasons) and that results on skip / chatter. I don't buy it of course... they replaced once under warranty but still doing the same. Driver's side (as it reached to top / end) is worst...passenger side less.

 

There are two adjustments that can help. The dealer knows the amount of downforce for the design, can measure it with fish scale type scale and adjust if necessary. Two, the blade is not making square contact, that is the csuse of all akipping. Look on you tube for how to see and adjust. If angled down it will skip when swiping up. This can be easily seen and adjusted. Perhaps a different brand blade with a greater length of rubber btwn the arm and the window would help.
