Front plate
Dealer called and has my new plates. They informed me that they must drill the front grill to install new plates. Located in NY NJ. Any other options beside taking a chance on not having a front plate.

You can look into one of those rectractable plate holders which are stowed under the car. I'm not sure how tolerant NY/NJ cops but most of my MD cars ran without front plates for years with no issues. If you can avoid drilling, do so.

Ty … definitely not drilling !!! The Dealer told me that most 99% of his new deliveries opted to put front plate in their trunk. I guess will see if we get ticketed.

Check your state regulation in close detail. In our state, a vehicle not originally designed for a front plate (bracket/holes built-in) is excluded from the requirement.

I wouldn't want to park in NYC without one. You'll probably get a $100 ticket every day. It's required here in Texas but apparently the way the law had been written there was no penalty for it originally. So they rewrote the law to make it a $200 fine but a lot of people still drive around without one and in general the cops don't seem to care. Of course, they can pull you over for it though and go on a fishing expedition. Where you from? Where you going? Got anything illegal in the car? Mind if I look in your trunk? Do you have a problem with me violating your 4th amendment rights? You do? Then you'll have to wait for the canine cop to get here! Oops, the dog alerted to something so now we're going to dismantle you car on the side of the road and leave it in pieces when we don't find anything.
But hey, at least I won't have to drill three holes in my bumper. LOL

I saw few vehicles in CA has "sticker style front plate"
it is about half the size of real plate. painted on a vinyl sticker and put on the front bumper. I am 99% sure it must be illegal but better than 100% illegal without front plate lol.

Havent run a front plate in Commiefornia for likely 20 years. Either delete or vanity. I spoke to a local cop before i deleted my 1st plate all those years ago & he said the only folks who care about front plates ate Highway patrol (state trooper, etc...). I've never been hassled for it & if i had to, I'd mock it up temporarily to get the ticket signed off & drop it off again.
