Software update
Software update I reported a few days ago on my EQE. Now I see I have a Data plan for internet. Used to use my phone on hotspot and today. I happened to be driving without phone, but my Tunein radio was still working ! Looked at internet in Systems screen and it shows I'm on using the Data Plan. Never did that before, always had to use hotspot on phone.
Not complaining, but curious why just now it started working.

Is your car a '24 or a '23? Our '23 EQEs haven't gotten any update notices, and dealer didn't find any pending ones. I wonder if the '23s and '24s will have different update versions, though I hope they all stay the same. We're on E330 for our software version.

Hmmmm. I had a '24 loaner that was on version E450. And it didn't have any MB connectivity, so it wouldn't have been getting updates. I certainly hope' 23s aren't stuck on E330. Thanks for sharing!

The version numbers are a mystery to me. My AMG EQEX4 is at version 330.xxxx and was produced in December, 2023 as a 2024 model. Another forum member posted that his AMG EQEX4 was at version 504. I'm not sure what the underlying differences might be. I have been receiving OTA feature updates to items like display controls, enhanced media controls and others. However, I've never received any OTA notifications for these things. I've got a call into my SA to gain some clarification.

They can not only not perform entire system updates via OTA, but what is pushed out via OTA seems is inconsistent. Some owners have gotten MBUX updates via OTA, but the majority have not. And this does not seem to be country or MY dependent.

2023 AMG EQE 53 4MATIC+, Tesla Model Y
My 23 EQE 53 AMG (delivered 7/23) went in for an upgrade at the end of September to deal with Dashcam and CarPlay dropouts, along with occasional driver assistance errors. The software version was E316.505, which must be one of the original versions.
They said to allow two days to complete the work.
Well, the update failed and they couldn't bring the car back to a drivable condition. After trying locally and dealing with country tech support and then to Germany, they determined the MCU needed to be replaced and would need to be shipped from Germany. That was two weeks ago and they just updated me that they don't expect the part to arrive until mid-November.
In the meantime, I have an EQE SUV loan car, shortly to be swapped out for an EQS.

they still haven’t fixed podcasts on MBUX or given us 5GHz CarPlay support.
