Understated aesthetics! AMG brakes for EQE
While the iconic red calipers of the high-performance AMG brake systems often steal the show, it's worth noting that besides the red versions, certain car models also come with special colors for their AMG calipers.
Today's EQE 350+ (V295) featured in the photos, also received an AMG Performance front brake system upgrade. As stated earlier, apart from the red version, Mercedes also offers a silver-grey option.
The silver-grey AMG calipers, although less eye-catching than the red ones, offer a more subtle sense of luxury, just a touch of elegance. Which version do you prefer?
The newly upgraded AMG Performance brake system features 6-Piston front calipers paired with larger 415mm semi-floating discs.
Compared to the stock configuration, this upgrade improves the overall braking performance and effectively shortens braking distances but the opposed 6-Piston caliper design also provides a more linear braking feel, changing the driving experience.
Remember that vehicles like the EQE have substantial body weight but also possess strong acceleration capabilities. Consequently, some owners have expressed concerns about the stock braking system feeling somewhat inadequate.
One thing is certain though, when it comes to performance, this is a true sleeper.
