Recall for steering linkage bolt
FYI, there is a recall on the EQE Sedan for a steering linkage bolt that may be under torqued. It seems to be a pretty quick fix and was taken care of as part of a separate service I recently had performed. I do not have information on just how many vehicles are affected.

Do you have more information? It is not listed in the NHTSA database.

Seems that less than 4000 vehicles are affected.

Curious that the EQS isn’t on the list. I’d have expected a lot of part interchangeability.

It isn't the part that is faulty. It's the installation thereof - improper tightening.

It seems that there was a problem in the factory and some of those bolts were not tightened to spec. When the dealer performed the recall on my car, the found that it was not torqued to spec and tightened it.

Mercedes seems to keep very detailed records as to how each car was assembled.
