How much charge is enough for OTA update?

My 2024 EQS SUV has not been able to get any OTA updates since September! The battery is at 70-80% and it still says it may not be sufficiently charged. Have you had any experience with this issue? Have you been able to get updates?

Thanks.

It's your 12V battery, not the high voltage battery. All our SUVs had this eventually, and all needed the 12V replaced. Update worked just fine after it was replaced under warranty.

They need to be replaced in just 18 months?

Appears to be the case. 2 years for us, but close enough. I suspect either there was a bad batch of batteries that affected cars near the same production date, or there was something about how the DC/DC converter operated that has needed updating. If I recall, there have been updates to the 12V management system.

Only thing that seems to matter is 12V battery. I've run software updates at 70% HV battery charge, no issues. We just had our SUV's 12V replaced due to update failing to install (my mother's SUV had the same issue last year, and I had my sedan's 12V changed pre-emptively while I was chasing down another issue). The car is very, very sensitive to 12V battery condition.
