Heatpump

Hi all-
Does the EQS SUV have a heat pump like the EQE SUV?

To facilitate faster production I would think all the internal running components would be exactly the same in both the Sedan and the SUV.

I don't see a heat pump mentioned in any EQS literature. I'm not sure it actually comes with one.

Here is a detailed description of the heating/cooling system. It looks like it uses waste heat from the motors, and supplements with resistive heating elements.

Currently no heat pump on the EQS SUV. The first EQ vehicle to get a heat pump is the new EQE SUV. MB will most likely add a heat pump to the EQS SUV in a future refresh. We will not drive ours in a lot of cold weather so it's a none issue for me.

Yes, as I understand there is no heat pump in the current car. As noted, it depends on where you live and drive as to the advantage of having a heat pump. Heat pumps tend to be more efficient in keeping the system at optimum temperatures within a range of outside temperatures. In California there is a push to replace traditional heating and cooling systems with heat pumps. They are efficient but fall short in extreme climates. It is another way to reduce the amount of energy it takes to keep the system at its most efficient. Not a deal breaker for me either.
