So now that the configurators are live on MB's website, it seems like USA is not offering the "Sport Interior Package" which consists of :
AMG Line interior
AMG sport comfort front seats
Sport steering wheel
AMG floor mats
Brushed stainless steel pedals
It seems like it is available in Canada and rest of the world... does anyone have any insight to why it is not available in the USA and if / when it will be available.. I have one on order but would rather wait if it does become available soon.
There’s also no night package on the US EQSs other then AMG. No idea why mbusa makes these decisions but they’ve done some other odd decisions. Like not making AMG line on the GLS450 or not having the sport steering wheel an option on E and S and a few other models. It’s unlikely to change any time soon as disappointing as it is.

That is partially true, I was able to add Night Package on my EQS 580 order, just finished being built. Hopefully delivering soon.. But yes that option seems to have come and gone for a brief period of time in the build system.

You were? SUV or Sedan? I haven't seen anything about that in the order guide.
I wish that would have been an option back when we ordered ours, I hate chrome. I told my wife we should have a waited a little longer before just jumping in and being one of the first to order.
One thing that was funny we ordered the AMG exterior line option and the running boards. The configurator did not puke up any error or warnings and took the order. When we took delivery of the vehicle first thing I noticed was that it did not have the AMG Line option. I asked our sale guys who we have know for 10 years and he said that after we submitted our build the configurator was updated a couple of months later to fix that issue because you can not have running boards with the AMG Line it is one or the other.
I told him that he should have shared that one detail when he became aware that our build configuration had changed. I would have opted for the AMG option and not the running boards. The wife loves the running board so she is the one that decided to take delivery of the car, I was like I want to pass.

That is interesting, you must have ordered a 450 because 580 comes with AMG by default and running boards are not an option yet, it said that option would be delayed in the ordering guide. As mentioned the Night Package was came and went, so even now I don't think you can add it. We'll see if it was added when the vehicle arrives later this week.

Trying to understand the configurator / ordering dependencies and constraints seems to be more complicated than three-dimensional chess. Very frustrating that it has to be this way.
I feel for those charged with keeping the back-end systems up-to-date with all the "rules".
Just saw my first EQS SUV with the night package for sale online. 4JGDM4EB1PA011225 at MB Littleton. Super cool.
Side note - I've noticed basically no recent built EQS SUVs have the star grill, but none have a credit for missing standard. Does anyone know that for sure? Maybe the illuminated star option adds it back?
