Locking
Does anyone know if there is any of the following features on the car? Coming from Tesla and bmw, I loved how the car will automatically lock after getting out of the car with the keys in your pocket and walking away.
Also when I park at home, I leave the keys in the car, however it seems that the ambient lighting stays on for at least 30 minutes after turning off the car and leaving it with the keys inside.
Any work arounds? I would love the car to auto lock when walking away, i would l also love if the car completely shut down when I turned off the car, even if the keys are still inside.

As you figured out already, your EQS will not auto lock simply by walking away from the car. I understand why you miss this feature, I had it on my BMW X7 for three years. As for leaving the fob in the car, I’ve never actually done that so I was not aware that it caused the lighting to stay on for 30 minutes.

without key fob my ambient light stays on for close to 30 min too. I even set delay to 0 min but that light still on for no reason. unless I lock the car.

That being said, however, I really wish that official representatives from MB would participate in this forum on occasion - to give us 'real' answers to our questions. Often, this forum seems too much driven by 'folklore'.

Speaking of locks, I was sitting in my car today as I was charging it when after about 15-20 minutes the car doors locked by themselves. In about a minute they unlocked. Im not aware of anything I did to initiate this process. I don’t think the car just locks by itself because when it’s unlocked I keep getting notifications it’s unlocked and if I want to lock it. I even got the notification while I was sitting in the car. I did lock it once and as soon as I moved inside the car the alarm went off. So I guess don’t lock the car with the app while you’re sitting in it.
