Phantom Braking

Now had 2 instances
First was on my drive where car slammed on brake for no reason at about 10 mph and wife nearly hit her head on dashboard
Second was this week on motorway where car slammed brakes on for no reason - luckily nobody behind me
Maybe a software regression? Hopefully MB get telemetry like we do on the products my company makes, and they have a marker for this and track its frequency in the field?!
Local dealer going to check diagnostics and log this week, but last time it happened, they had no ability to find or more importantly fix a problem? So a beautiful and otherwise awesome vehicle, $143,000, that could send my family into the windshield or dash at any given moment without warning. What the heck are we supposed to do with THAT knowledge!?
Will see what dealer says and let you know. This seems like a major problem/glitch and MB should be making it right ASAP for all affected.

Mine has doine this twice now, It slammed on the brakes when it detected a shadow across the road thinking it was an obstacle..,., not good.

I took it to the dealership and they re-tuned it. I have not done it with the EQS but yesterday it did go nuts when i was reversing into a parking spot AT the mercedes dealership thinking it saw something and the brakes kicked in.
might have to have the techs look at it too like they did in the GLC.

drive mode was set on intelligent recuperation.
I was 3rd car at the left turn lane. the car in front of me is a pick up truck. when light turns green, I followed the car in front and somehow car itself applied brake so hard about mill-sec then let go.
(it feels like you are the passenger and driver steps on the brake all the way and let go the brake right away without tell you. or the moment when rollercoaster approaching to stop x3 times faster)
car did not stop completely as my feet still in the gas pedal and I just keep driving.
neck does feel uncomfortable but 3-5 min later is ok. not as bad as rear ended by someone (happened before and neck feels very sore)
this morning was the third time it has slammed on its brakes all by itself.
the kicker is in all three instances it was detecting a shadow across the road!
mercedes needs to look at this before someone gets severe whiplash.
but I did notice a huge a$$ leaf flow over left to right then the brake applied. it was about 30mph to 5mph and lucky the car behind me not too close.
I think computer picks up as someone or object crossed over the front that caused braking.
