Dirt Inside Door Jams And Rear Cargo Hatch….
I really like how quiet my 580 SUV is on the road and noticed that this is partially due to the door seals and rear cargo hatch seals positioned much further inward from the outside than any other MB I have owned.
The problem with these seals being so far inboard is that road dust enters and gets further inside the door areas. One can open the doors and see a lot of dust/dirt inside the door jams. The rear hatch is much worse when you open it up I assume from air swirling around the rear as the vehicle moves forward. I know, first world problem….😊
