Question Hyperscreen Cell phone mount

First-time posting... thinking about adding a cell-phone mount suction pad just behind the steering wheel, on the hyperscreen, over the right-side info area.

I plan to maneuver the phone where the yellow box/dotted lines are. I rarely use the information in this area (outlined in red), and I want a good spot to place the suction cup, so I can maneuver the phone to an area 50% above/beloe the dash rim/edge.

Thoughts?

Use Car Play

Why block your screen ? Car Play on the native system gives you everything you get on the phone screen.

Car Play? Please tell me more!

Seriously, if this solves my problem, I am all in. I thought Car Play was unavailable for use in the U.S.

EDIT: I have Android Auto. Though AA has good integration, it does not project/allow video from the phone to the dash.

Arrow Android Auto versus Car Play

Accordingly, though Android Auto works "ok," it doesn't have the same capability as Apple Car Play.

The EQS supports wireless Android Auto as well. You find a video for just about any question on YouTube:

2024 EQS SUV 450, 2017 E300 (miss my 2021 GLS63, 2018 GLC 300, and BMW K1200GT)
I have an EQS SUV and have used CarPlay but still find the need to touch the screen from time to time. This happens frequently when searching for music or entering addresses when the speech recognition doesn't work, which is about 50% of the time.

I put on adhesive and suction cup mounts and nothing seems to stick very long. I'm about to put a piece of PPF film on the hyperscreen and then use a more powerful adhesive between the PPF and the phone mount. Is there another way people have done this? Thanks is advance.

Quadlock MBUX Screen Phone Mounting

I have a quadlock system, with suction mount that I place on the MBUX screen just at the bottom of the screen between the passenger screen and the main screen. The circle of the suction mount doesn’t block anything. And the quadlock mount can be directed toward the driver. I power the mount with a USB-C cable connected underneath the center console, so it is out of the way. Works for me. But you have to purchase the quadlock phone case as well, as it is integrated with the mount. Quick on Quick off. No need for PPF film, the suction mount is strong.

The Scosche magnetic mount seem to work quite well supported from the vent. The only drawback is it obstructs airflow from the left center vent a little bit. However, I love the fact that I do not need to disturb or support it from the beautiful hyperscreen. Got the mount at Costco.
