Prepaid Maintenance PPM

I recently came across another post about the dealer refusing to honor the PPM if it’s after the two year anniversary. I couldn’t find the post. Regardless, I just had a similar issue. When I purchased my 2023 EQS 580 4 Matic SUV, I paid for PPM for year 2. (FYI - I paid $1700 and the actual price in 2025 was $1316 - lesson learned). My MB app kept pushing out the service date due to my low miles and not honoring the 2 year limit. After seeing the thread about PPM not being honored, I printed all the screen shots of the app pushing out the service date and miles to go. Booked my appointment and explained the issue with my SA. He asked that I bring in screen shots. When I dropped off the car, I left him with all backup data. He clearly agreed with the issue. When I went to pick up car the back office removed the PPM and wanted to bill me! My SA ignored that charge and challenged the office as I followed the MB app about service date. My SA feels that when I purchased the car the dealer didn’t properly reset the “clock” and was no fault of my own. Just want to pass this along to fellow members.

You have a considerate SA, I say that is a good thing.

Amazing to pay that much to change air filter, brake fluid and check coolant.

The parts alone accounted for 45% of the invoice.

I think I need to go into business providing this service to MB owners at 1/2 the cost, and still make a killing. Absurd pricing.

The prices you see on that invoice are list prices set by the dealer. The actual cost from Mercedes is much lower, and if you go online and buy them from the manufacturer they will be much, much less. That expensive filter is probably $20-$40 from the OEM online.

not quite that low. For example

an AI search on web for first filter was from $113 to $140 across 4 vendors.
