I was able to charge consistently at ~9.8 kw but after an OTA update it is now at 3.8. I can't definitely point the finger at the update but anyone else have similar issues.

I am going to try and charge at my friends house to rule out the charger. I called mercedes and they agreed it will be a good first step.

just for closure. The mistake was with the charger. I use chargepoint flex. If there was a power surge then the charger would automatically lower the amps. I think that was fine but then there was no indication to me as an end user. The App continued to show 40 AMPS even when it was probably operating at 20 or less. I called them and they fixed it in one minute since my charger was connected to the internet. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. Thanks for the replies.

I would be quite annoyed that an internet connected charger would not show the true state of the charger in the app. It should have told you what it was doing and why.

Well, I started getting only 3.8 also, so I called them at +1-888-758-4389, and they saw the output voltage was set to 15A (for some reason), so they changed the amperage of the unit to 40 and then back to 50, and now it's charging at the full 9.6.
