EQS in real life on the street

Got a glimpse at MBUSA’s lot her in Atlanta, GA. Cars were filthy, but certainly more impressive in person. Not sure I’m completely sold until I have the chance to sit it one and drive it, but intrigued nonetheless. Unclear if these were actually production vehicles or not—although I didn’t capture this in my photos, interior fit and finish did not look up to par. For example, portions of the interior door panels rise above the window line which is frankly bizarre for a car of this magnitude, but we shall see what ultimately ends up in the showrooms. Enjoy!
PS, beyond the hyper screen none of the vehicles were particularly well equipped…

Pretty sure that is not a fit and finish issue but rather how the door cards and dash are designed. Both the C & E are like this as well towards the A-pillar as the door top is slightly higher than the window beltline in order for the door tops and dashboard to seamlessly connect and create a wrap-around dashboard look.

Nice recon pics MrmBenz! I'm happy some dealerships are getting EQS already. Interesting, there were only supposed to be AMG exterior package bumpers and they got both. The steering wheel really seems fat is that the "S" style?

@js_cls I suspect you’re correct—the front cabin certainly has a pronounced wraparound effect. I’m sure I would get used to it…
@Soulman Good catch and I meant to bring this up in my original post. I have no idea what configuration we'll ultimately be able to order, but the 2 vehicles with standard trim were EQS450+s whereas the EQS580s featured the AMG trim. The significant amount of black trim on the AMGs rear bumper seems to lend itself to darker paint colors…
@stealth.pilot All of the vehicles were equipped with 21” rims and they were almost comically large in person. The summer tires fitted also seemed particularly unforgiving, but have to assume the ride quality won’t be impacted. I hope!
