Charge start time
Is there a way to have the car plugged in but delay the charge start time ?

Yes. When you stop the car, it brings up the charging screen, asks you if you want to open the charging port. You can set a departure time, by the day of the week, and arrange preconditioning of the cabin for that time. Then you plug the car in, and charging will be paused until the time the car calcuates completion of the charge for the departure time. You can also arrange pauses in charging if your power company has lower rates at certain times of night. I think you can also arrange this through the ChargePoint app, but have never tried. Anyway, the car has the software to do what you are asking.

Or you can use the Mercedes Me Connect app. Under "charging status" there is a charging program where you can set up start and stop times.

EQS 450+
You can also set up a pause schedule to block charging during peak hours. I have my charging paused from 8am to 11:15pm.
