New Owner Questions
Hello all,
Just picked up an EQS-450 a couple of days ago and I feel it’s an awesome car so far. There are two items I noticed though that I can’t figure out how to solve:
Just picked up an EQS-450 a couple of days ago and I feel it’s an awesome car so far. There are two items I noticed though that I can’t figure out how to solve:
- I went to the grocery store with wife and kids, and put the car in park and went inside to grab a few items. When I came back out the car was shut off. Why did this happen? Not fun for them when the climate control is off…
- When I have the car parked in garage and it’s charging, the door handles are all out with the lighting on. Is there anyway to just have them stay in the ‘in’ position?

If you left the keys with them, you could have left the car turned on to keep the climate control going. If you turn it off, the support systems shut down after a period of time. That's also about the time the handles retract. Mine retract after a few minutes, even when charging. Or, you can just lock the car and they retract.

I did leave the keys with them and I only put it in park; that’s why I was confused it was shut off when I came back 🤷♂️

Then, I am also confused. If you did not hit the "on/off" button, it should have stayed on. Can't explain that. You know, however, they could have just pushed the "on" button.
