EQS580 Charge Port & Ambient lighting

Anyone else having trouble getting the charge port to open on their EQS? I have over 6,000 miles on my car now. It's been acting up after the 1,000 mile mark. It keeps saying the flap is open while its clearly closed. Now the only way to get it to open is to tell the car to open it. I've been waiting for other issues with the car to take it to the dealership. Not sure how many parts they have waiting to fix something I consider minor. It's just an annoyance at this juncture.

The last few weeks we have been getting errors on the ambient lighting. It's been a few times now. Once it said the system couldn't be loaded. Turned the car off and back on and it worked. Another error with it is PRE-SAFE inoperative see operator's manual. Both have come and gone.

Setting up the initial charging with Mercedesme Connect was a pain. It took a few days to get everything synced and working properly. The dealer wasn't much help having purchased the 2nd car on their lot. the 800 number wasn't any help either. The dealer helped me locate some additional instructions and find the Charge Point chip card. We've been enjoying our Electrify America free charging ever since. Charge Point has been a major let down with their poor speeds.

I have the 450 plus took deliver this past Friday and while I was at the dealer ship salesperson told me that the warning light came on because I was not driving. Sunday, I went to Mcallen TX and had the warning light come on 12 times. Every time it came on, stop or turn on the car. Took EQS to for service today and the service technician for MB try to bull**** me, I put him in his place. This is a very common problem with S class or any car that has an Mbux. The warning is not supposed to come on. There is a post regarding this issue. Check your warning messages on your car under service.

I have !,000 miles and 1 month on my car. I get the warning every time I push the start button. I disabled the feature under the car apps but it still pops up. Annoying but I am waiting to see if I have any other issues before taking it in for a service call.

I mostly charge at home but have had no issues with ChargePoint or Electrify America.

According to MB a case has been initiated regarding EQS Ambient Light Issues. What possible resolution will come out, haven knows. But this is a 6 figure car needs to be “The best or nothing”.

2022 Mercedes GLS 450 and 2022 Mercedes EQS 450+
Reposting here from another thread:

We have an EQS 450+ that we acquired in January of 2022. It has the active ambient lighting package. Sometimes when we get out of the car the ambient lights turn off with the interior light delay. Others the interior lights go out but the ambient lighting stays on unless I lock the car or go into the menu and turn the ambient lighting off.

We also have a 2022 GLS with the same package and those lights turn off every time with the interior lights.

On the EQS I have had the car back to the dealer twice and they say no problem noted. It could take 30-45 minutes for the ambient lights to shut off but it won't cause any 12V battery issues (yeah right). If that was the case it should behave the same way every time. I then got an answer that it stays on longer depending on the 12V state of charge. Huh?

What happens to others when you exit your car with the ambient lighting package? Do the ambient lights indeed stay on if you don't lock your EQS (say in your garage etc.)
