EQS450+
Tried to find a 580 over the last few days to get hyper screen and because I felt a little spidey sense around the available 450s and zero on the 580's. I'm hoping the bottom doesn't fall out of the value on this unit over the next two years.
1. Happy to experience the brand again.
2. Car drives really well (I'm coming out of a Range Rover)
3. My first electric, but we have a Taycan and Model X on extreme delayed order.

EQS 450
Does your 450 have the Hyperscreen?
If you don’t mind me asking did you pay any markup for it?
My thinking is that the 450’s with Hyperscreen will hold their value better. But who knows really.

EQS 450+
Given the rectangular screen behind the steering wheel, I think this has the standard 450 displays.

  • No Hyperscreen.
  • They tried the market adjustment BS - I told them I would dump the deal if they didn't remove it. Instantly 10K knocked off.

The Hyperscreen shortage thing is real, plus MB is trying to make a fast go at the EV market. I asked why there were so many 450 units and not enough 580s, the finance mgr at the dealer said they had a boat load of them a month or so back make it thru port and the chip shortage didn't affect them so thus no 580 stock and a ton of 450 stock. He said the 450 is selling because the avg consumer of this vehicle isn't really thinking about the Hyperscreen the way us ...dare I say "early adopters" of MB EV tech.

Said most of the target buyers in this price range of EV want less screens not more so he thinks the run on 580's will die off when stock comes back and the market will even put. Told me value on 450 would be protected for sure if I bought another MB. We shall see in 12-24 months.

Mercedes S550
@raerae28 Some reviewers find the hyperscreen distracting. The 450 will have a longer range than the 580 too. I’m glad that you didn’t pay over MSRP. Enjoy your new Mercedes in good health!

There will be no hyperscreens for the 450 for the foreseeable future (at least in US). Truth is its more bling than useful. The S class type tablet offers the same functionality.
