Following distance setting

When I first got my EQS, I set the following distance for cruise control to two car lengths, and it always stayed there. Lately, I have noticed that it now always resets to 4 car lengths whenever I turn the car off. I am not aware of any firmware or software OTA updates. I cannot find any setting to change this to "last setting used". Anyone else having this, admittedly minor, problem?

I also have issues with settings sometimes changing. I'm not sure what causes it. I wonder if it is to do with driving the car on occasions it doesn't recognize your Face to log into the user profile.

I log in each time, but it no longer remembers that setting. I have to change it each time I activate the cruise control. I had to do this on my M550, and was happy to have the EQS remember the setting, but now not happening. Almost seems like an update which changed this, but not sure. BMW would not let it be coded to remember the last setting due to legal considerations.....you could go in with third party software and do it, but not with BMW software. Wonder if the lawyers have made MB change this also?

Never know about lawyers (not all are bad, we have many very goo lawyers onboard at the forum). I doubt MB has intentionally changed this. The old style stalk obviously did remember the last setting. This is not any emissions related thing like stop/start.
