I have received confirmation emails from charge point and MB that my activation is complete and that plug and charge are ready. However the MB App still "doesn't know" all the duckies are in order. Unfortunately, there are exactly zero places I can charge in my vicinity (except my garage) so I wont know till I go on a road trip somewhere. Lastly I don't drive very far often, about 20 miles a day. I've charged the car once (when I drove it from the dealer). I haven't since and still I have 50%. At this pace Ill have to charge every couple of weeks or so. Note, this is despite sitting around playing with the system for hours, listening to the radio for hours while waiting for the kid's activities, running the AC while stopped, giving it "the beans" on a regular basis and so on. I'm truly duly impressed.

I also received an email confirmation from ChargePoint. Yesterday, I drove to an Electrify America (only about 10 miles away) fast charging station and attempted to charge my 580 from 75% to 80% just to see if it works. It didn’t. I called the customer service phone number posted on the charger. They answered right way. The gentleman told me upfront that there was a problem on Mercedes part. He activated it remotely and bingo. It went from 75% to 80% in a few minutes. I think it can charge at over 200 kW but I have the charging set at ECO. So it charged at about 105 kW. Mercedes better get their act together. It’s extremely annoying.

I now see on Mercedes me charge that they put a note up. It says “for technical reasons the transfer of date cannot be done at this time. Try again later.”
At least my home charger now works great.

The message that I hadn't completed de :setup" is gone🤞

I have not received such an email from Mercedes. I even talked to them a couple times the past 2-3 days. I don’t understand it. Maybe, the dealer did something wrong when setting it up. But on the other hand, why is there now an error message on the activation page from Mercedes? I already told you above what it says.

Use the car's mercedes button. I think the app was lagging for some reason. When I called from the car we did the activation using the me connect website rather the app. You could give a try on the website before calling. If that fails then calling through the car is the best option. The assistant was great, helpful, patient and best of all, fixed it!

If it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all. I called from the car and the lady I spoke to emailed me a little different website address since she said I was using the wrong website. Rather than messing around going to this so called correct website, I did it from inside the house. I clicked on the link in the email. When I did so, it came up with the exact same website as before. This is more than ridiculous. I’m suppose to be getting a call from a level 2 agent in the next day or two. I’m stuck on square one.

My email note did not arrive until 3-4 days after my sales person assured me it was active. He was wrong! As soon as that message arrived I was getting the free 30-minute sessions on EA. That perk was enhanced even more when I took my wife's GLK 350 to the gas pump and dropped $57 for 12 gallons! And the gas smell was really bothersome

I first brought this problem to their attention on late Tuesday. Maybe, just maybe I’ll get that email confirmation real soon.

Hallelujah, gloriaski !!! I received a notification about an hour ago that I’m now ready for plug and charge. Sure enough, 6 out of 6 are activated. I am fully registered. I have no idea why it takes this long for Mercedes to activate plug and charge.

Thanks! A question: how in the world does EA, ChargePoint, or another partner know that your car is registered simply by plug and charge? Don’t you even have to scan that little card provided?

When you plug in at EA, the screen prompts you to simply plug in, the car and EA chargers do a handshake and recognize your car and it starts charging. I have had an issue when the handshake did not occur. I changed EA charging stations and still had a problem. Call the 800 number listed and give the station ID and they fix it within minutes.

My car also shows just the ChargePoint chargers on the map. I use EA and Plugshare apps to see where all the other chargers are.

I downloaded the EA app - the one with the lightning bolt EA logo - and on the first page that asks for you to create an account, there is a "skip" in the top right corner. Tap that and it will show nearby locations. I believe that if you create another EA account it will cause a conflict with the MeAccount. Same for ChargePoint.

I has charge point before MB I think that caused some issues but I was finally successful qorking it out. I can use both apps.
