Also it looks like it uses the same button for lock and unlock which is not ideal because sometimes you want to lock the car but you don't know if you already locked it.
Obviously the app can address these shortcomings, but the point is it all adds steps vs. just having the buttons on the fob.

That looks pretty cool. However I prefer the current fob because it has buttons. Killing the buttons makes simple things complicated. For instance I carry my grocery bags into the house, and now I want to close the trunk. With the fob I can press it and close it from the kitchen. Not sure how I would do that with this.
