The dealer is correct. If your car has all season tires (R1) then they are run flats and car will not have the tire-fit kit under the cargo floor storage area. If you have the range optimized summer tires (R0), they are not run-flat tires so the car comes with the tire-fit kit.

The repair kit does not need a jack. Personally I ordered a tire repair kit, the good ole injection type. With that and the compressor you can repair any tire without removing it from the car.Its messy but it will get you going temporarily till you can fix it appropriately. Of course that wont fix a bad hole. I miss spares. Our GLS still has one.

I feel insecure on long trip without a spare.
In fact, have bought one from EZSpare.
Wish the car had a frunk to store it.
Question is how I'm supposed to power the pump . Have not seen a 12 V outlet anywhere in my 450.
Wow, now thats a problem! It seems some cars don't have one. I suspect you can have the dealer install one since many of us do have the 12V plug under the dash.
I carry this portable air compressor for $30. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ON...737D/307627867 There are other brands if you already have batteries from other manufacturers (DeWalt, Milwaukee,etc). If you don’t have any other brand batteries you can get a 1.5 AH battery for around $30. Charge the battery before you leave on trip and it’s good for months or 4-5 tire inflations from completely flat before it needs recharged. Very compact and easy to carry. And you don’t have to worry about any power surges on your car’s electrical system from the compressor.

The last several cars I have bought had no spare. The M550 had runflats, which saved me once when I hit a huge pothole in Waco road construction and burst the sidewall. I've always wondered if the sidewall would have burst on a regular tire, but..... Anyway, I've driven all over the US without a spare (including on three motorcycles) without running into any problems I could not solve with a small compressor. (Maybe I should be knocking on wood?!?)
Very few cars of any type have spares and virtually no EV's. The onky EV that I jnow has one is the F150 lightning and that is because the F150 is really a gas f150 chassis with bateries in between the frame rails and 2 electric motors instead of an engine! I must hand it to Ford the F150 has been like a real life transformer! They are even selling a version of the lightning for 40k that has a range over 250 miles. And the regular version is around 320. The electri F150 will range from 40 to 100k! Wow. In a year or 2 no one will even remember the name Rivian.......
The EZ Spare Tire kit fits in the trunk but basically takes up the whole space.
And the big question I could never answer, when you're traveling with luggage, etc, is where are you going to put the filthy damaged tire and wheel once you change it out? It will be much larger than the EZ Spare. It is a difficult delimma to contemplate, but I chose to just run with a compressor, a can of goop/slime/whatever, and a dynaplug kit and hope for the best.

Years ago, 200 miles from home, on a Super Bowl Sunday afternoon, I experienced a tire blow-out. This happened in a very remote area, and I didn't feel good about driving the rest of the trip at 50 miles per hour. Luckily, I found a gas station which happened to have a no-name replacement tire.
Since then, I've been gun-shy and always have a full size spare in the vehicle for long trips.
I just saw the F150 lightning yesterday. I was really impressed. It looks like you have to spend 75k to get the 300 mile battery. The dual charging is smart and the house backup could be a game changer for some folks.
