Thumbs up The difference between the men and the boys.....

Again for all the exterior design naysayers:
Yesterday I was coming out of a store and a mom an 2 boys are coming out of a minivan. The oldest boy, maybe, 12 spots the EQS and he goes into visible joy! He's jumping up and down grabbing his mom's cell phone and dragging his younger by the arm to admire the car, taking pics of the outside, the inside and selfies with the car The mom, of course, was waiting in the parking with an annoyed face for him to finish getting his jollies . Good job MB! If young car aficionados get that excited with the car you can be sure the future is secure. Made my day!

I have had similar experiences with people of all ages. Despite what the biased press says, the car definitely has a striking impact on people!

I also have had very similar experiences with the car. Just yesterday, when I was at a fast charging station, a worker nearby said to me “what a great looking car”. Then a few minutes later, a guy was pulling in the get gas, he said “WOW. I’ve had several Mercedes cars over the years but your EQS looks incredible”.

It is the least attractive car MB has made in recent years but it’s still attractive.
Its not a very photogenic car either, it’s looks a lot better in person.

I must agree it doesnt photograph well. however in person its amazing. One example is the rear. In person you can appreciate the rear fairing over the wheel flowing into the rear end which gives it a powerful bold look. The almost invisible front overhang and the front end that meets at a almost imperceptible poited beak. Personally its probably the most beautiful car MB has ever made, like a a stone shaped by the wind. It just happens that it doesnt look like like any Mercedes before it, and thats a good thing! Its a car design made by the wind tunnel people. It entails some sacrifices, rear headroom for very tall people. Rear window visibilty is very restricted and the greehouse is also restricted all around. You get used to it, plus it has the best cameras in the market bar none. Contrary to a Prius, which looks like a science experiment gone wrong, the EQS is distinctive from other MB's (its the car of the future!) but in an elegant, organic way. I really really like the design. You can tell that the design team were some extraordinarily well educated engineers and artists. Design schools will be using this design as an example of form and function for a long time. Its brilliant.
