61U Black Microfiber Headliner ($1,600)
Is '61U Black Microfiber Headliner' Alcantara?

How does is differ from the standard '51U Black Headliner'??

Got my allocation for a Sept build, Nov delivery, and just need to tie up this last piece.

Hi have 61U in my 580 and love it. While it is synthetic if feels and looks like Alcatra. Adds significant luxury to the cabin. Would recommend especially w/ black interior

2023 AMG EQS
It is something that will make car feel more like “S-class” of EVs. If you are accustomed to the higher tier of luxury then don’t skip it.

I believe it is required with some of the interior selections. I had the 509 gray Napa leather at $4400 and they added the $1600 for the microfiber automatically.

You should get it. I had it in my LS460L and don't have it in my S560, and really wish I did.

It has a huge impact on how the interior feels, and in the EQS the base headlining isn't very nice, the visors are hard vinyl etc. My S560 has a nicer base headliner but still, the alcantara is a must have. I've even looked into having it done aftermarket.

Its a $120,000 car...whars another $1,600? No different than paying for upgraded leather or other trims...which are all also worth it.
